The City of Madison and Village of Shorewood Hills in conjunction with WisDOT and FHWA are proposing a project to reconstruct University Avenue between Shorewood Blvd and University Bay Drive. The proposed undertaking will consist of reconstructing University Avenue to an urban arterial boulevard that will meet the needs of all transportation modes, including pedestrians, cyclists, metro transit users, BRT, and motorists. A multi-use path bridge or underpass crossing of University Bay Drive north of University Avenue is also being evaluated for possible inclusion in the project. Attendees will have an opportunity to review project displays and provide comments during the meeting. The meeting will be an open-house format from 6-8 pm, with a formal presentation, beginning at 6:30. For more information and to stay informed about the project, go the project website at: https://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/projects/university-avenue
