Fall Gathering in the Rocky Bluff Neighborhood
October 25, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
You are all invited to help us establish a record for the most lit jack-o-lanterns on our porch at one time, while getting to know some of your neighbors and enjoying a bowl of chili and a mug of hot cider.
On the evening of Saturday, October 25th, Jacob and Kate AustinĀ are hosting a neighborhood potluck party and open-invite chili competition. (RSVP via email to jacobandkatieaustin@gmail.com if you are interested in participating in the chili competition.) Bring your carved jack-o-lantern and be dressed for the weather as it will be an outdoor party.
The jack-o-lanterns will be lit promptly at 6 and a brief pumpkin parade may follow shortly thereafter. There will also be pumpkin carving awards, so bring your A-game.
What: A low key autumn yard party with folks you live near, a bowl of chili, a mug of hot cider, and a whole bunch of jack-o-lanterns. Do you really need more?
When: Saturday, October 25th from 4-7 pm
Where: 2926 Bluff Street
Who: Everyone from the Rocky Bluff Neighborhood
A few other details: we will have at least one vegetarian chili, one traditional chili, and hot cider. You are welcome to bring your own beverage. Feel free to bring your own mug and bowl to cut down on waste. You may also want to bring a lawn chair. Whether permitting a Koob tournament might happen as well. (Never heard of Koob? – Think Viking yard game. Enough said.)
Please contact Jacob and Kate AustinĀ if you are interested in helping with this event in any way. An RSVP if you plan to attend is appreciated but not required.
